Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

DB Prep Academy understands that your privacy is important to you. We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personally-identifiable information as you use this website. This Privacy Policy tells you how we protect and use information that we gather from you. By using this website, you consent to the terms described in the most recent version of this Privacy Policy.

“We” and “our” mean DB Prep Academy and its affiliates. “You,” “your,” “visitor,” or “user” means the individual accessing this site.

Mobile SMS

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with or obtained from any third parties.

Personal and non-personal information

This Privacy Policy identifies how we treat your personal and non-personal information.

What is non-personal information and how is it collected and used?

Non-personal information is information that cannot identify you. If you visit this website to read information, such as information about one of our services, we may collect certain non-personal information about you from your computer’s web browser. Because non-personal information cannot identify you or be tied to you in any way, there are no restrictions on the ways that we can use or share non-personal information.

What is personal information and how is it collected?

Personal information is information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number. We may collect personal information from you in a variety of ways:

  • When you send us an inquiry, application, or other form
  • When you enroll a student or conduct a transaction with us
  • When we collect information in support of a transaction, such as payment information
  • When you choose to receive particular information, purchase access to one of our products or services, or take part in an activity on this website

Are cookies or other technologies used to collect personal information?

Yes. We may use cookies and related technologies, such as web beacons, to collect information on our website. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to save you time. A cookie tells the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you register with us, a cookie helps DB Prep Academy recall your specific information on subsequent visits, so you can easily use the features that you customized.

A web beacon is a small graphic image that allows the party that set it to collect certain information about the viewer of a web page or e-mail message, such as the type of browser requesting the image, the IP address it is sent to, and the time it was viewed. We may use web beacons to count visitors to the pages on this website, to see how users navigate the site, and to measure how many of our e-mail messages were opened or acted upon.

Third-party vendors may also use cookies on our website. For instance, we may contract with third parties who use cookies to analyze anonymous usage and volume statistics from our visitors. Such information is shared externally only on an anonymous, aggregated basis, and all data collected by these vendors on behalf of DB Prep Academy is used solely by or on behalf of DB Prep Academy.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser setting to decline them. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of this website.

How does DB Prep Academy use personal information?

DB Prep Academy may keep and use personal information we collect from or about you to give you access to this website or to other products and services, to respond to your requests, to bill you for services you purchased, to provide ongoing service and support, to contact you with information that might be of interest to you, to ask for your opinion about our programs, and for record keeping and analysis so that we can research, develop, and improve our programs, products, services, and content.

Personal information collected online may be combined with information you provide to us through other sources. We may also remove your personal identifiers, in which case you would no longer be identified as a single unique individual; once we have de-identified information, it is non-personal information and we may treat it like other non-personal information.

Finally, we may use your personal information to protect our rights or property, to protect someone’s health, safety, or welfare, and to comply with a law or regulation, court order, or other legal process.

Does DB Prep Academy share personal information with others?

We will not share the personal information collected from this website with an unrelated third party without your permission, except as described in this Privacy Policy. In the ordinary course of business, we may share some personal information with companies that we hire to perform services or functions on our behalf — for example, payment processing, scheduling, or communication tools. In every such case we do not authorize them to keep, disclose, or use your information except for the purpose of providing the service we asked them to provide.

We will not sell, exchange, or publish your personal information, except in conjunction with a corporate sale, merger, dissolution, or acquisition.

We may be legally compelled to release your personal information in response to a court order, subpoena, search warrant, law, or regulation. We may cooperate with law enforcement authorities in investigating and prosecuting visitors who violate our rules or engage in behavior that is harmful to other visitors or illegal. We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we believe the disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or property, to protect someone’s health, safety, or welfare, or to comply with a law or regulation, court order, or other legal process.

How is personal information used for communications?

We may contact you periodically by e-mail, mail, or telephone to provide information regarding programs, products, services, and content that may be of interest to you. In addition, some features on this website allow you to communicate with us using an online form. If your message requests a response, we may reply by e-mail, and that reply or confirmation may include your personal information. We cannot guarantee that our e-mails to you will be secure from unauthorized interception.

How is personal information secured?

We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personally-identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorized personnel and third-party vendors have access to your personal information, and they are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your personal information.

Students under 13

Many of our students are minors, and some are under 13. We collect a student’s information — such as name, grade level, school, and course progress — from the parent or legal guardian who enrolls them, or from the student during class in the ordinary course of instruction. We do not ask children under 13 to provide personal information directly to us outside of their classes, and we do not condition a child’s participation in an activity on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary.

We use student information only to provide and improve instruction, to communicate with the family, and for the record keeping described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell student information and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

A parent or legal guardian may review the personal information we hold about their child, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or refuse further collection by contacting us at info@dbprep.com. Deleting a student’s information may end our ability to provide instruction to that student.

How can a user access, change, or delete personal information?

You may access, correct, update, or delete any personally-identifiable information that you submit to this website. You may also unsubscribe from mailing lists or any registrations on this website. To do so, please either follow the instructions on the page where you provided the information or contact us at info@dbprep.com.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it, to request a copy of that information, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, contact us at info@dbprep.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

How long do we keep personal information?

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed to provide our services, to maintain the academic and billing records associated with an enrollment, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or remove the identifiers that tie it to you.

Changes

DB Prep Academy reserves the right to modify this statement at any time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date, and if the changes are material, a notice will be included on the homepage of this website for a period of time.

If you have any questions about privacy on any website operated by DB Prep Academy, or about our website practices, please contact us at info@dbprep.com.
